JBS and Viva sign an agreement to create JBS Viva, a leather joint venture with 50/50 control
JBS and Viva Holding signed on September 15 the definitive agreement to create JBS Viva, a leather joint venture with a 50% stake for each partner, announced in November 2025: JBS contributes its leather production assets in Brazil and international subsidiaries and supplies raw hides from its plants, and Viva contributes its leather operations and the manufacture of tanning chemicals; excluded are the Cactus (Texas), Germany, Uruguay and Mexico units, JBS collagen and gelatin operations and unused Viva assets. The board will have six seats split equally, with JBS naming the chair and CFO and Viva the CEO and operations director; closing depends on conditions precedent with no set date.
