Global GPS instability in Embraer E2 jets grounds Azul aircraft and Honeywell investigates the cause
An instability in GPS signal reception on Embraer E2 family aircraft, equipped with Honeywell systems, disrupted airline schedules worldwide from September 22. In Brazil, Azul took precautionary operational measures, with schedule and route adjustments and some flights canceled, and told customers to check flight status. Embraer said there is no impact on flight safety, as the aircraft have backup navigation systems, and Honeywell is investigating the cause; Flightradar24 data pointed to E2 operations resuming on September 23.
