Privatized Copasa gets a new CEO, and the Minas Gerais government golden share is approved
Copasa, the Minas Gerais sanitation company privatized in 2026, will be led by Augusto Dantas, an executive from Equatorial, which bought 30% of the company for about R$ 5.6 billion, according to NeoFeed and Exame on September 29. Shareholders approved the state government golden share, which gives the state the right to elect one board member and one fiscal council member.
